Nudium- ER 500 Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat epilepsy (seizures), mania, and bipolar disorder. It is also used to prevent migraine. This medicine helps to decrease the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells and calms the brain.

Nudium-ER 500 Tablet is taken by mouth with or without food. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency. If you have been taking this medicine for a long time, regular monitoring of blood and liver function would be required. Inform your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking as it can interact with other medicines. 

 Some common side effects of this medicine include loss of appetite, memory impairment, headache, blurred or double vision, abdominal pain, constipation, or diarrhea. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. This medicine may cause weight gain or weight loss as side effects vary from person to person. You should be alert as in rare case this medicine can cause severe side effects like bruising or bleeding. If you experience any or both of these effects, consult the doctor as soon as possible as these effects may be life threatening if ignored.

Nudium-ER 500 Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
