AMLORIA-LS Tablet(Amitriptyline 12.5mg + Chlordiazepoxide 5mg)-A Reliable Remedy

Amloria-LS Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amitriptyline and Chlordiazepoxide, which treats depression. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine (BZD) that works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Amloria-LS Tablet is taken with or without food. However, it is advisable to take it at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Never skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Taking this medicine for a long time may require regular monitoring of blood and liver functions.

Some common side effects of this medicine include insomnia, agitation, anxiety and a feeling of worthlessness. This medicine may cause weight loss. So, in case you lose weight, consult a dietitian for dietary supplements or try to increase your food portion.
